KUCHING: The newly constructed SK Jalan Haji Baki is expected to be fully completed in July this year.

Deputy Minister of Works Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the RM18.18 million project has reached 91.83 per cent of its physical progress, one day ahead of its scheduled progress.

“The main purpose for the construction of this school is to replace the original building made of wooden / semi-wooden structure which is already dilapidated and outdated.

“With the completion of the new building, it will be able to provide space and facilities as well as a more conducive and comfortable learning environment for both teachers and students,” he said.

He said this during a press conference after he visited SK Jalan Haji Baki site today (June 11).

Ahmad clarified that the construction consisted of one administrative and academic block unit with 12 classrooms; teacher’s office; health and dental room; computer room; library; art education room; science room and surau.
