MIRI: A total of 39 roads in Senadin have been upgraded this year under the Special Maintenance Project of the Malaysian Road Record Information System (MARRIS), at a total cost of RM2.709 million, benefiting the local community by providing safer and more comfortable access.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, who is the Senadin assemblyman, said the road resurfacing projects at Jalan Cahaya 2 and Jalan Cahaya 2G were completed on Sept 3.
During his working visit to the MARRIS project site at Lorong Cahaya on Monday (Sept 23), Lee highlighted the road improvements which covered a total distance of 600 metres, with an allocated budget of RM124,345.85.
The upgrades are seen as a significant enhancement for local residents, improving road safety and providing smoother daily commutes.
Also present during the site visit were Kapitan Chong Kee Hua, Miri City Council (MCC) councillors Jeffrey Phang and Yap Siew Jin, along with engineers from MCC.
