PADAWAN: Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil has approved RM200,000 for the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project to fully complete the construction of the Good News Fellowships Church building in Kampung Annah Sadir.

This was announced by him during his speech at the inauguration ceremony of the church’s kitchen corner (anjung dapur) and classroom on Saturday.

Furthermore, Dr Jerip, who is also the Mambong assemblyman, also approved RM30,000 for the Minor Rural Project (MRP) to the church committee members to facilitate the purchase of equipment for the church and the organisation of their annual activities.

Speaking further at the ceremony, he emphasised that those who had received the funds should use them wisely to bring about good development.

Commenting on the religious differences between leaders and the people, he stated that there was no issue with a representative attending any events organised by churches or any religious institutions.

“This is because it is important to strengthen relationships and understand the issues faced by other religious institutions,” he added.
