RM2,100 food aid for UiTM Mukah students

MUKAH: The Managing Director of DFM Prosper Sdn Bhd, Dr Ting Yew Chai, and his wife presented contributions to the Gerakan Pengguna Siswa (GPS) of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Mukah today.

The contribution, valued at RM2,100, comprised food and beverage items.

According to a statement by the Mukah Branch Office of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), the contribution was part of the Food Bank Siswa Donation Programme.

“The Food Bank Siswa programme is a continuation of the Food Bank Malaysia initiative.

“It has now been expanded to public higher education institutions to assist students, especially those from the B40 group.

“With the help of programmes like this, they can focus better on their studies,” the statement said.

Also present were UiTM Mukah’s Assistant Rector, Dr Abdul Jabbar Abdullah; Senior Assistant Registrar, Ahmad Tirmizi Kram; Senior Executive Officer, Ismaily Hajani; and KPDN Mukah Deputy Branch Head, Mohamad Rizal Sehe.
