SERIAN: A total of 25 recipients representing various associations and village security and development committees (JKKKs) around Serian received Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants amounting to on RM226,000 from Bukit Semuja Assemblyman, John Ilus on Wednesday.
John who presented the grants urged the recipients to use the money for their intended projects and send a report on how the money was spent.
Also present were Serian Catholic Parish Rector Fr. Paul Herry, Penghulu Rungka Jimbai, representatives of PBB Bukit Semuja, George Manggu and Awang Radhuan.
The recipients are Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak Kampung Blimbing B, Biru Wanita Kampung Slabi Empurung, Persatuan Kaum Ibu Kampung Ranchan, AJK Biru Wanita Kampung Sorak Dayak, Persatuan Kaum Wanita Kampung Belimbing A, St. Theresa’s Parish Council and St. Theresa’s Cemetery Management Committee, Kelab Peminat Radio Bidayuh, Persatuan Kesihatan Jasmani Taiji Qi-Gong, Persatuan Islam Gabungan Amal (PERTIGA) Malaysia Negeri Sarawak, Pejabat Pelajaran Daerah Kecil Serian, Basic Christian Community BCC Taman Angerik Inda, Persatuan Bolasepak Bahagian Serian, HIKMAH Serian, Persatuan PESARA Kerajaan Daerah Serian, Persatuan Penyewa Arked MARA, Pertubuhan Pengajian Wai Tan Kung, Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA), Sarawak Bidayuh Graduates Association and JKKKs from Kampung Sorak Dayak, Kampung Tebakang Bidayuh, Kuala, Kampung Kakai, Pasir Stabun and Blimbing A.
