SEBUYAU: An allocation of RM25,000 has been approved for the Youth Committee of Kampung Sampat, Sebangan for the construction of a small bridge and access road at the village.
Assistant Minister of Infrastructure and Ports Development Datuk Julaihi Narawi, who is also Sebuyau assemblyman, said the allocation was approved to ensure that youths in the area are active in development programmes.
According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), he also contributed RM3,000 for the Youth Committee to further increase crop yields.
He said this was aimed at encouraging the youths to venture into agriculture, which can be a source of income.
