KUCHING: At total RM27,100 in emergency assistance has been disbursed to 43 persons from Pantai Damai constituency.
Of the total, 25 received medical assistance amounting to RM18,900 while the others received education assistance worth RM8,200.
Santubong MP Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar presented the assistance in a simple ceremony held at Santubong Parliament Service Centre in Satok on Saturday (June 20).
During his speech, Wan Junaidi recommended the potential youths to venture into modern agriculture and online marketing to improve the state’s economy.
He also introduced several assistance provided by his ministry for those who wished to become agropreneurs and delivery riders.
Also present at the ceremony were Pemanca Rashidi Junai and Penghulu Sidek Sitam.
