MIRI: Deputy Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Rosey Yunus has approved an allocation of RM30,000 for the construction of Lutong Fire and Rescue station’s surau.
This was announced during the launching of Lutong Fire and Rescue Station’s Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) corner today (Feb 6).
According to Rosey, the construction works is expected to commence next month.
At the launching, Rosey, who is also Bekenu assemblywoman witnessed the presentation of notification letter by the state administration of the Sarawak Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) to Lutong Fire Station for the construction of the surau.
She also praised the firemen for their commitment in delivering their tasks to the public and pledged RM5,000 to the Lutong Fire and Rescue Station’s fund.
Also present was Lutong Fire and Rescue Station’s chief Henry Jugah.
