JULAU: More than RM400,000 have been allocated for the development and upgrading projects of longhouses at Jalan Nunggang, Pakan.

Julau MP Larry Sng said in the last two months, he had approved an allocation of RM159,000 under the Minor Rural Project (MRP) fund and an additional RM100,000 under the People Friendly Project (PMR) fund to upgrade the village road.

“After learning that six longhouses in the area are without treated water, I further allocated RM150,000 under the Rural Development Ministry (KPLB) for the extension of water pipes in addition to RM60,000 under the MRP for their Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs).

“In total, RM469,000 has been allocated to assist the longhouses at Jalan Nunggang within this short period,” he said in a Facebook post recently.

Larry said that such allocations were only possible by being part of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.

“People in Julau want progress and development in the constituency and improvements in their living standards similar to those living in the urban centres,” he said.
