BETONG: This year’s Betong Division Gawai Dayak Parade, themed “Mujur Mansang Segulai Sejalai” offers RM42,000 in total prizemoney.
Awaiting the overall winner is a cash prize of RM10,000 along with a trophy.
And for each category, the winner will go home with a prize of RM5,000 along with a certificate and trophy.
The runner-up will receive RM2,000 along with a certificate and trophy while RM1,000, a certificate and trophy awaits third placing.
The parade is scheduled for June 8 at the Betong Sports Complex.
Like the previous year, four contingent categories will be contested, namely Category A involving government departments, statutory bodies and the private sector.
Category B involves tribal leaders, longhouses, villages, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and towns.
Category C and D, respectively will be for primary and secondary schools in Betong Division.
The closing date for participation is on May 24.
