LUNDU: Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan has announced RM43,500 to enliven Ramadan celebrations in mosques and prayer halls, continuing the tradition initiated by his late father, Pehin Sri Adenan Satem.

“A total of RM16,000 was allocated to 16 mosques, each receiving RM1,000, while RM12,500 went to 25 village prayer halls, including those in agencies and schools, each receiving RM500,” he said during the presentation ceremony of donations to mosques and prayer halls in N3 Tanjong Datu held in conjunction with Ramadan Al-Mubarak today (March 11).

Azizul also pledged an additional RM15,000 from his personal funds to support the initiative.

Moreover he distributed 70 tree saplings, including varieties such as mango and rambutan, to be planted at the homes, mosques, and prayer halls.

The initiative saw Azizul collaborating with Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development, to deliver the Ramadan contributions throughout the constituency.
