PADAWAN: Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Dr Jerip Susil has allocated RM50,000 to enhance village management in Padawan subdistrict.

The Minor Rural Project (MRP) funding aimed to empower Village development and security committees (JKKKs) and Community Leaders and Village Chiefs (KMKK) to improve administrative functions within their communities, particularly in promoting transparency and accountability in managing government funds.

“This allocation aligns with the Premier’s development agenda to create efficient village communities,” he said during the closing ceremony of the Seventh Series of Management Briefing for JKKK members in Kampung Assum on Sunday (Nov 10).

Nearly 300 JKKK and KMKK members from 18 villages attended the ceremony, which also included the inauguration of high-volume low-speed (HVLS) fans at Kampung Assum Biya Multipurpose Hall.

All seven series of management briefings engaged representatives from 62 JKKKs and 930 AJKKK members across the Padawan subdistrict.
