MIRI: Four secondary schools and four primary schools in this division on Thursday received special contributions amounting to RM58,000 from Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin to help them buy sanitisers, additional face masks and other necessities to fulfil the SOP requirements.
He also suggested the schools use the funds he gave to buy additional face masks for teachers or students who forgot to wear them to schools or poor students who could not afford to buy them
Lee, who is also Senadin assemblyman, had given all the eight schools face masks twice before.
During his visit, he met the respective principals and headmasters and the Parent-Teachers Association Committees to get feedbacks on their SOP compliance.
He also took the opportunity to look at the facilities set up to conform to the SOPs laid down for schools.
