KUCHING: Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii allocated RM70,000 under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for 2021 for the upgrading of facilities of St Alban Church on April 11.
The church which is situated at Taman Susur Jambu, Sarikei has been the beneficiary of RTP funds from the state government in 2019 and 2020.
St Alban Church has been given RM100,000 and RM53,000 in 2019 and 2020 respectively under RTP project.
Huang also visited Kuan Yin Temple and Iban Methodist Church on April 10 and allocated RM15,000 and RM50,000 respectively to them under RTP 2021 for the upgrade of their facilities.
Under RTP 2019, the temple received RM10,000 while RM100,000 was allocated to the church.
