BINTANGOR: The Sarawak government has approved a sum of RM750,000 to upgrade the building of Kai Nguong Methodist Church and the Meradong District Police (IPD) Headquarters under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).

According to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), a sum of RM500,000 was allocated to upgrade the infrastructure of Kai Nguong Methodist Church.

The balance of RM250,000 was allocated to upgrade the Meradong IPD multipurpose hall.

Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing had gone down to the field to review the upgrading project recently.

The implementation of the projects will be carried out in stages according to the approved funds and the appointment of contractors through the implementation agency.

Ding also took the opportunity to thank the Public Works Department (PWD) for their supervision and cooperation in monitoring and ensuring that the RTP projects were implemented as scheduled.
