ASAJAYA: The provision of infrastructure and basic facilities to the people in the Asajaya constituency will continue to be the main agenda through the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) initiatives.
Asajaya Assemblyman, Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said the government has allocated RM5 million under RTP to each state constituency for the implementation of projects for the benefit of the people.
“We will distribute the allocation given by the government to improve infrastructure facilities to enhance the living standard of people in the Asajaya constituency,” he said.
Earlier, Abdul Karim, who is also Assistant Minister for Housing and Assistant Minister for Youth and Sports visited projects under RTP in his constituency last Monday.
Among the projects he visited are at Kampung Beliong, Moyan, Rebak, Serpan Ulu, Sampun Kelili and Asajaya to see for himself the progress of last year’s projects and those to be implemented this year.
Among the RTP projects approved last year were a new multi-purpose hall and futsal court at Kampung Beliong, upgrading of Surau Kampung Moyan Ulu, upgrading of Asajaya Sports Complex worth RM2 million and the construction of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Asajaya Laut.
“For this year, the projects under RTP are the upgrading of a hall in Kampung Beliong costing RM100,000, repairing of Kampung Beliong jetty costing RM250,000, construction of new bridges at Kampung Rebak costing a total of RM200,000, land filling for Surau Kampung Serpan Ulu costing RM100,000 and the construction of a futsal court at Kampung Sampun Kelili costing RM150,000.
