RM85,000 uplift for Mambong communities

PADAWAN: Deputy Minister of Transport and Mambong assemblyman Datuk Dr Jerip Susil distributed a total of RM85,000 in Special Grant Cheques to five local associations and women’s bureaus during a recent visit to the constituency.

Beneficiaries included the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Saint Bernard Sadir, the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Sibakar, the Women’s, Children’s and Community Bureau of Kampung Sumur Bunuk, Puncak Borneo Prison, and the Padawan District Police Headquarters (IPD).

Following the ceremony, Dr Jerip received courtesy visits from representatives of four JKKKs – Kampung Rabak Asah, Kampung Emperoh Git, Kampung Emperoh Giam Bauh, and Kampung Annah Rais – as well as the Padawan Homestay and Eco-Tourism Operators Association.

Discussions focused on development plans for the Mambong area, with a particular emphasis on infrastructure improvements, community development initiatives, socio-economic growth, and boosting the area’s tourism potential.
