THE state government has approved RM88 million under Projek Rakyat for the implementation of Skim Pembesaran Kampung (SPK) Segedup.
Second Minister of Natural Resources and Urban Development Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said this would provide a total of 273 residential lots.
“The tenders for the construction of infrastructure according to new specifications are expected to be finalised by the end of 2022,” he said in his ministerial winding-up speech today in response to (GPS-Satok) Datuk Ibrahim Baki on the matter.
Awang Tengah said the state government had also gazetted Kampung Gita Baru, Sungai Maong as a Bumiputera Communal Reserve (Village) under Section 6 of the State Land Code.
Elaborating further, he said its implementation was done based on the concept of Kampung Tradisional equipped with basic infrastructure facilities such as Skim Penempatan Semula (SPS) and SPK.
“A total of 132 residential lots are provided under this scheme and it is in the process of implementation,” he said.
Under the provisions of the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) and Projek Rakyat, Awang Tengah revealed that a total of 50 SPK and SPS projects were approved which provided a total of 4,817 residential lots.
Out of the 50 projects, 12 projects have been fully completed according to the development scope while the remaining 38 projects will continue until the end of 12MP.
“Currently, the SPS and SPK projects implemented use improved infrastructure specifications such as paved roads, concrete drains, and retained lots.
“The state government has set the land premium payment not exceeding RM2,500 for each residential lot in SPS and SPK despite the cost of preparing each lot estimated in the range of RM120,000 to RM150,000,” he said.
