NEW DELHI: Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) chief General Tan Sri Mohd Asghar Khan Goriman Khan attended the air chiefs’ meeting at the Aero India aviation show in Bangalore yesterday.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) briefed the delegates on the country’s experience in evacuating its citizens from Afghanistan following the withdrawal of United States-led foreign forces in August 2021 and showcased India’s growing drone capabilities, according to a Malaysian official.

The RMAF chief earlier attended the Defence Ministers’ Conclave on the sidelines of the aviation show.

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in his speech highlighted the need for greater cooperation among countries in an “increasingly-complex” security scenario, according to a Defence Ministry statement.

More than 160 foreign delegates, including defence and deputy defence ministers of 27 countries, participated in the conclave. – BERNAMA
