MOSCOW: At least 25 people, including foreigners, were killed and 21 others were injured in a road accident in the Arusha region in northern Tanzania, Sputnik quoted Tanzanian media report on Sunday, citing police.
Preliminary investigation showed that the incident occurred due to a failure of a truck’s braking system, causing it to hit three other vehicles, The Citizen newspaper reported, adding that 11 of the deceased were women, including a young girl.
Foreigners came from various countries, including Kenya, Togo, Madagascar, Burkina Faso, South Africa, Nigeria, the United States, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, the report read. – BERNAMA-SPUTNIK
