KUCHING: The Kuching Car Free Morning programme is back and will take place from 6am to 10 am on Sunday (Feb 6).
As such, three main roads in Kuching city will be temporarily closed to commemorate the programme.
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) in a news report on Friday (Feb 5), Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) said that the temporary road closure involved Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, Jalan Pearl and Jalan Barrack.
The objective of the Kuching Car Free Morning 2022 programme is to help reduce carbon emissions and road congestion, promote a healthy and green lifestyle and environmental awareness and create space for interaction and activities for citizens.
In line with that, road users are expected to comply with the instructions on the signboards provided.
