DARO: The construction of the Village Link Road (VLR) in Kampung Pangtray and the upgrading of the VLR in Kampung Tebaang (Phase II) are scheduled to begin this year.
Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad said both projects would be implemented this year by two implementing agencies which are the Matu and Daro District Council and the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID).
“We are currently finalising the specifications for both projects, and they will be carried out this year.
“The implementation period for these projects is 10 weeks, or approximately two and a half months,” he said during the VLR Project Sites Handover held here recently.
Safiee added that the Sarawak Government remains committed to improve road infrastructure in rural areas.
Once completed, these projects are expected to enhance the quality of life for rural residents and drive local economic growth.
