BINTULU: Road users have been advised to be extra careful in the four accident hotspots in Bintulu District.

“The three locations are Mile 5 to Mile 13 Jalan Bintulu-Miri; Mile 17 to Mile 23, Jalan Bintulu Miri; and Jalan Bintulu-Tanjung Kidurong,” said Tanjung Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming.

“Be extra careful, particularly during the festive season and school holidays.

“Plan your journey to avoid the holiday rush, and ensure that vehicles are in good condition,” he said today (Jan 19) after meeting with the Road Transport Department (JPJ).

He also distributed road safety campaign leaflets in conjunction with Chinese New Year at the Jalan Tun Hussein Onn Petronas station here.

“Don’t exceed the speed limit, don’t text while driving, don’t overtake during hazardous conditions, and don’t drive while intoxicated.”

Pang, along with Bintulu Division Resident Nyurak Keti and Sarawak JPJ Deputy Director Erick Jusiang, had previously distributed leaflets and mandarin oranges to road users.
