KUCHING: The Sarawak Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Financing Initiative Roadshow provides strategic and supportive training for local MSMEs to implement business planning.
The roadshow was held yesterday by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) at the Sarawak Islamic Information Centre here and aimed to enhance MSMEs knowledge about micro, small, and small business initiatives by the MADANI government.
Mohd Harith Hakimi Amran, 31, SME Bank Kuching team leader stated that SME Bank offers services to MSMEs in terms of payment machine and equipment.
“We help micro, small and medium-sized companies and entrepreneurs to succeed. Through training such as beyond financing it helps them meet the challenges in the economy in the future,” he told New Sarawak Tribune when met.
Meanwhile, Yeo Wee Kiak, 44, head of branch AKPK Kuching, said that this programme was really beneficial for Sarawakians in MSMEs.
“Through financial education, MSME will be wiser in managing their finances. For example, we provide services to women entrepreneurs who wish to build a solid basis for their businesses.
“We can assist them with developing a business plan, obtaining money, and marketing their products or services,” he said.
For Rommy Lawai, 37, financial executive of Credit Guarantee Corporation (CGS) Malaysia Berhad, he is confident Sarawakians who are interested to venture into business would gain more exposure on CGC’s services.
“We are not only offering loan financing but also services advice on the business world in the future,” he said.
