KUCHING: Two districts in the northern part of Sarawak, Limbang and Lawas, will begin their Covid-19 vaccination programme this weekend, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
He said the shipment of the vaccine is scheduled to arrive in both districts on March 6 and 7, and the frontliners will be vaccinated first.
“I call on everyone to register to receive the vaccine to protect ourselves, our families and others.
“You can register through the MySejahtera app, or do it manually with the help of relevant government departments or through your village chiefs and community leaders. Do not waste this opportunity since the costs are borne by the government,” he said in a statement today (Mar 2), adding that he and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg had received their first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine last Friday (Feb 26) at Petra Jaya Health Clinic here.
