SIBU: Starting today until June 2, the streets of Dataran Phase 2 will transform into a cultural fiesta.
Roombark Fest 5.0 promises a vibrant blend of urban culture, local flavours, and tantalising experiences, promising a showcase of indie local artistes, cultural activities, and delectable cuisine.
Themed “From Kuching City to Swan City,” it promises an unforgettable experience brimming with Sarawakian culture.
“It is a celebration of Sarawak’s rich culture, and a platform for communities to unite, engage, and thrive,” declares Khairuzie Bolhassan, co-founder of Roombark and president of Petra Jaya Uptown Entrepreneur Association.
Attendees will get to hear iconic Sarawakian rhythms with musical performances by Radhi OAG, Lan Rampage, Lucy M, and Christina Brayon.
They can also participate in exciting stage-based contests like colouring, open mic, and battle of the bands – running throughout the festival.
Roombark has been a strong advocate for social empowerment since 2023.“Through
its vibrant street festival, Roombark aims to foster inclusivity and bring people from all walks of life together for an unforgettable community experience,” said Khairuzie.
Deny Davani, an independent Sarawak heritage cultural and contemporary artiste, and renowned Sarawak comedian, Lan Perey, will co-host the festivities, guaranteeing a dynamic and entertaining experience.
