RTD issues 87 non-compliance notices

BINTULU: The Road Transport Department (RTD) has issued 87 non-compliance notices against road users for various traffic offences yesterday.

A lorry is being stopped for inspections for allegedly transporting hazardous load.

The department through its Facebook page, said the operation was conducted around the district and along the Bintulu-Sibu Pan Borneo Highway.

In the operation, the Bintulu RTD Operation Unit inspected a total of 509 vehicles and issued 87 non-compliance notices against motorists.

Among the offences detected were driving without a license, expired road tax, transporting hazardous load, failure to use the seat belt, and other technical violations.

In light of this, all road users are reminded to always adhere to the traffic laws.
