SARIKEI: Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii recently paid a visit to Unity Methodist Church, Merudu to inspect the church’s renovation project.

Huang had given an allocation worth RM100,000 under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) to the church.

The project, which was completed recently, included roofing, tile replacement and building repairs.

Meanwhile, a representative of the church praised the assemblyman for helping the church since he was elected as the people’s representative.

In addition to the renovation project, two small roads in Ching Hung Road, Merudu were also paved under the RTP project to ease the travel experience of road users.

Huang also expressed his concern about the facilities of a Chinese school.

The assemblyman together with his service centre team, immediately built a rooftop for the basketball court and storage room of SJK Su Lok, Sarikei.
