BINTANGOR: The state government has approved three more Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects in Meradong constituency.

According to Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) report, the first project is the upgrading of infrastructure at Rumah Ngipa, Sg Buloh Bintangor at a cost of RM50,000, which will solve the problem of a lack of parking at the longhouse.

On Tuesday (Jan 25), Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing visited the project site together with Sarikei Division Public Works Department (JKR) officers and community leaders.

Shortly afterwards, he inspected the project site for the upgrading of the parking lot at Rumah Panjang Baling, Sg Meradong and the upgrading of the main road at five private housing units.

These projects were approved with an allocation of RM50,000.

Meanwhile, the third project was to upgrade the infrastructure of Rumah Giman, Skim B Meradong, involving the upgrading of the drainage and replacing the longhouse’s power supply wires which are too old.
