KUCHING: Apart from bringing benefits to constituents the rural transformation programme (RTP) projects in Pantai Damai state constituency also help to improve their wellbeing.
According to its assemblyman Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman, RTP projects such as construction of wooden bridges, roads and embankments were carried out according to the needs of the residents.
“Almost all the RTP projects in my constituency, which involve 43 villages and housing estates, are running smoothly and have received a very positive response from the villagers.
“To ensure that each project implemented is in accordance with the set specifications, all projects will be closely monitored,” he said in an event at Kampung Sourabaya Hilir here on Tuesday (Sept 22).
Each RTP project is proposed by the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) and is managed by the Resident’s Office, added Dr Abdul Rahman, who is also Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and DBKU),
Also present was village head for Kampung Sourabaya Hilir Amit Abang Sahari.
