MERADONG: Three Rural Transformation Programmes (RTPs) will be implemented soon here.
Gung Chiu Kion, who represented Sarikei MP Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, witnessed the handover of the project sites to the appointed contractors.
According to a statement from Huang’s office, the MP hoped the projects would benefit residents, especially in terms of safe road facilities.
The proposed RTP projects involve the upgrading of cement roads in Jalan Sg Mador Ili; Jalan Rh Rentap Batu 6, Jalan KJD Sg Rayah; and the construction of gabion walls at Rh Julianna Sg Kabu.
In the meantime, the handover of the project sites also involved the Meradong and Julau District Councils.
Also present was Meradong and Julau District Council assistant engineer Churchill Barrak.
