KUCHING: Hock Seng Lee (HSL) announced the extension of its ‘Rumah Flora’ sales campaign to a full month, now ending on June 23.
According to a statement issued by HSL on Thursday, this decision follows nearly 10 house sales during the first weekend of promotions that began on May 23.
“The developer reported positive response to its new Rumah Flora, a garden-themed single-storey semi-detached home.
“Visitors are impressed with the generous land area of each home, as well as features like high ceilings. The general feedback is that Samariang Aman 3 offers premium features at reasonable prices,” said assistant sales and marketing manager Angie Joan Daniel.
Angie said that HSL is proud to offer landed properties at prices more affordable than some apartments.
“The successful sales during the opening weekend demonstrate that we are meeting market demand. We conducted extensive surveys before launching Samariang Aman 3,” she said.
HSL first announced Samariang Aman 3 in mid-2020, with five phases currently open for sale. It remains one of the largest landed-only housing developments in East Malaysia.
Covering 310 acres, the estate is master-planned to include a 31-acre centralised open space, nearly the size of Kuching Reservoir Park.
Angie said the park, once completed, will be a highlight of this housing estate, it’s rare to have a park of this size right at your doorstep.
She added that HSL is also building a cycling track that loops around the entire
development.
Rumah Flora is the fourth showhouse HSL has built for this project. It features extra-large openings to showcase garden areas and ample cross ventilation.
Project architect Chai Si Yong, of PDC Design Group, noted that locals still prefer landed housing for various reasons.
“In a landed home, it’s your house and your land. As your family grows, you can easily do extensions.
“These homes also come with very high ceilings as standard, which is important because ceiling height is not something homeowners can easily change when renovating or extending.
“I myself live in a landed house. If anyone can afford it, they will always choose landed housing,” Chai said.
The extended sales period will include family-friendly activities at Rumah Flora.
Angie announced that on June 1, there will be colouring contests, free ice cream, food, and sand art sessions.
“We also have a variety of food trucks, including Swee Kang, Cloud 99, and Sushi Chef at the event. So come for the showhouse, win the colouring contests, stay for the food, and enjoy a great day out,” Angie added.
The green housing development includes most typologies, including single and double-storey, terrace and semi-detached homes.
The launching phases of almost 200 units are all sold out. Samariang Aman 3 is a continuation of the original Samariang Aman and 2, which won the housing developers’ award for Best Masterplanning.
The statement also disclosed that popular celebrity, NgekTsai, is a resident and spokesperson for the project.
