KUCHING: Pejabat Perhubungan Sarawak Kuala Lumpur (Rumah Sarawak) in collaboration with Sarawak Volunteers visited Sarawak children at the National Heart Institute (IJN) and Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).
The children are currently undergoing treatment at the medical centres.
In conjunction with the celebrations of Gawai Dayak and Raya Aidilfitri, Rumah Sarawak representative Awang Supian Awang Daud handed over hampers to the children as a “gift of shared memories”.
According to Awang Supian, the visits and donations are aimed at giving them a glimpse of the joy of the celebration back home.
“Hopefully this contribution will bring joy to those who have to celebrate the festivals far away,” he said.
