DALAT: The State government will ensure that rural folks will not be left out from benefiting from the developments in their areas.

Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development (KPWK) Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah pointed out that development projects such as roads would definitely ease communication in the rural areas.

“There will be a road to connect Dalat to Sibu including Dalat Kut Road, Kut Muara, Kampung Kekan Seberang and Kampung Medong Seberang.

“With the completion of this road, the journey from Dalat to Sibu is expected to take only about an hour.

“Aside from that, this road will also help the progress and well-being of the people in the area and they will not be left behind in enjoying the developments here,” she said at the 76th edition of Medong Kaul Festival at Penghulu Sakul Tira Village Hall in Medong Hulu here recently.

She also shared about the RM90.5 million allocation for the proposed Dalat-Kut road project connecting Kampung Kekan Seberang to Kampung Medong Seberang.

Touching on the delayed Jalan Lebrasau to Klid road project, she said it would be implemented using rescue contractors.
