Rahman, who is also Assistant Minister of Rural Electricity, said this during a press conference on the roadshow held at the new State Legislative Assembly (DUN) here yesterday.
He added although the roadshow was held during the month of Ramadan, it was not only targeting the Muslim community but would be joined by other SABERKAS members from diverse backgrounds, races and religions.
“At the same time, it aims to enhance cooperation among the members involved through mutual assistance.
“In addition, we (SABERKAS) will also invite the local community and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in villages and housing areas,” he said.
Organised by SABERKAS, the roadshow has received full cooperation from Beras Nasional Berhad (BERNAS) as well as Malaysian Youth Council (MBM).
Each year for this activity, BERNAS would sponsor RM30,000 while MBM would allocate RM5,000, he explained.
