PUSA: The master plan of Sri Aman Development Authority (Sada) is expected to be available before the end of this year, said its chairman Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim.
“We are calling on all departments and agencies that are involved to prepare the databases as Sada’s first meeting will be held this Friday in Simanggang.
“If the plan is already available to us, we will be able to set a direction,” she said yesterday after officiating at ‘Projek Rumah MRP-PPRMS’ yesterday at Kampung Semarang and Spinang here.
Rohani explained that Sada would focus on the development of the agriculture and tourism sectors.
“Many proposal papers are based on these sectors. First, the potential of Sri Aman District as the first rice bowl outside Peninsular Malaysia.
“Besides that, tourist attractions such as the tidal bore, the new area of Gunung Lesong, Pulau Seduku as a potential crocodile sanctuary and more.
“However, the infrastructure is very important.
“Thus, collaboration between agencies is crucial for hands-on planning to be realised,” she added.
Rohani also hoped local media practitioners would help to disseminate Sada’s plans.
