SIMUNJAN: One hundred and thirty-eight participants benefitted from a collective amount of RM31,326 in dividend from the Ladang Sejahtera Agropolitan Batang Sadong project.
This was said by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Hajah Nancy Shukri who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Batang Sadong.
“The Ladang Sejahtera Agropolitan Batang Sadong project is one of the projects managed by FELCRA Berhad with funds allocated by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development and adjusted by the state government since 2006.
“This project is an initiative by the federal government to eliminate rural poverty through the increase of income, quality of living, as well as ongoing efforts to speed up development in rural areas.
“This is proof of the close working relationship between both the federal and state govenrments in ensuring the wellbeing of the people,” she said.
Nancy said this during the handing over ceremony of the dividend at Kampung Ensengei Melayu, Simunjan on Tuesday.
