Sagah and ministry officers visit science centres in Germany, Switzerland

KUCHING: Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development (MEITD) Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn recently led a delegation on a significant work trip to Nuremberg, Germany.

According to a statement from his ministry, the purpose of the visit was to engage with Hutiinger GmbH, the appointed exhibits designer and fabricator for the Sarawak Science Centre project.

“The discussions during the visit covered a wide range of topics, including finalising the types of exhibits,  graphic design, and cost estimations, and timeline for exhibit fabrication.

“The trip also included a factory visit to Huttinger GmbH, providing valuable insights into their manufacturing capabilities,” the statement said.

Subsequently, the delegation  visited  two  renowned science centres, Experimenta in Heilbronn, Germany and Technorama in Witherthur, Switzerland.

Accompanying the Minister were Deputy Minister Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, Permanent Secretary Datuk Azmi Bujang, managing director and chief executive officer of Sarawak Science Centre Dr Peter Morin Nissom and ministry officers.
