KUCHING: Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn received a courtesy call from the Science Centre Singapore on yesterday.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit report, the Singaporean delegation was headed by its chief executive officer Dr Lim Tit Meng.
The visit was to discuss matters relating to education, talent development as well as ways to attract youths to venture into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and to further strengthen ties between Sarawak and Singapore.
Sagah expressed his appreciation to Singapore for assistance in realising Sarawak’s dream to establish its own science centre.
On Tuesday (April 26), the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development will hold the Sarawak Science Centre Workshop for Phase 4 and Phase 5 with the Science Centre Singapore.
The event will take place at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching for two days .
Also present were Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, and Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development permanent secretary Datuk Kameri Affandi.
