Sagan and Christina crowned champions in ‘Ngajat Tabuh’ competition

TATAU: Sagan Serang emerged as the champion in the men’s solo category, while Christina Dinang won the women’s solo category in the ‘Ngajat Tabuh’ competition held during the Tatau Festival 2023 recently.

Both were awarded a cash prize of RM400, along with a trophy and a certificate.

The runners-up in the men’s solo category were Christopher Lambong and Danny Lee, securing the second and third place, respectively. They received RM300 and RM200, along with trophies and certificates.

In the women’s solo category, Keleman Anyong and Shellynne Lua secured the second and third positions. They were rewarded with RM300 and RM200, respectively, along with trophies and certificates for their outstanding performances.

In the group category, the Tandak Remang 1 dance team claimed the top spot, with Tandak Remang 2 and Empire Dance securing the second and third places, respectively.

The champion of the group category received RM1,000, while the second and third place winners were awarded RM800 and RM600, respectively.

According to Tatau District Officer Jabang Juntan, the festival attracted nearly 2,500 visitors and featured 19 participants in the competition.

Additionally, the visitors were treated to a special ‘Ngajat Sape’ dance performance from the talented Temaga Kupang team.
