Saint Laurent is launching an exclusive capsule collection with Net-a-porter and Mr Porter. The luxury fashion house, which is helmed by the artistic director Anthony Vaccarello, has teamed up with the high-end online retailers to release a ready-to-wear series for men and women set to drop on May 13, WWD reports. Footwear and bags will also be included in the collection, which will span tops, jeans, jackets and dresses, amongst other items.
“We spotted the trend of genderless dressing emerging over the past few seasons, and never has this idea felt more relevant,” Elizabeth von der Goltz, global buying director at Net-a-porter, told WWD. “We see Saint Laurent as the genesis of this movement, and the perfect partner for our joint exclusive capsule celebrating androgynous dressing at Net-a-porter and Mr Porter.”
The launch is the latest big move for the house of Saint Laurent, which has been attracting attention recently with a succession of star-studded campaigns. The house tapped Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves to front its Fall/Winter 2019 campaign earlier this year, following on from a Spring/Summer 2019 campaign featuring the rapper Travis Scott. The house is also reportedly preparing to unveil its latest menswear collection in a standalone catwalk show scheduled for Los Angeles on June 6. – Relaxnews
