KUCHING: The districts of Samarahan and Lundu have now been categorised as a green zone.

This comes after no Covid-19 cases were reported in the districts for the past 14 days.

However, Kuching still remains yellow, with one case reported in the last 14 days.

“Serian District is also still a yellow zone. To date, Serian has recorded one locally transmitted case in the last 14 days,” State Disaster Management Committee chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said during the daily Covid-19 update press conference on Tuesday (Aug 11).

Red is areas with more than 40 cases, yellow for one to 40 cases, and green, no cases.

Previously, Samarahan was categorised as a yellow zone following the detection of one locally transmitted positive Covid-19 case in the area.

SDMC said the case was one of the three positive Covid-19 cases detected in the state on July 15.

Lundu was also classified as a yellow zone when one new locally transmitted case was reported in the district on July 28.
