KOTA SAMARAHAN: Over 700 people are expected to participate in the Samarahan Family Fun Run 2024 this Sunday (Nov 10).
Organised by MakanSari Food Street and supported by the Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS), the event is being organised to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
“Whether participants are seasoned runners or families looking for a morning of excitement and exercise, this event provides a welcoming and inclusive environment,” MPKS chairman Datuk Peter Minos said in a press conference on Wednesday (Nov 6).
The event will feature two categories, namely a 3km run with a registration fee of RM40 and a 5km category with a fee of RM50.
“Both categories are open to participants of all ages. Each registered participant will receive an official event t-shirt and a commemorative medal upon completion,” he said.
He also praised MakanSari for the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative in sponsoring 50 children and the management from Salvation Army to participate in the run.
Runners are encouraged to collect their race packs on Nov 9 from 11 am to 4 pm at MakanSari Food Street, Aiman Easement, Kota Samarahan.
