MIRI: A total of 41,000 face masks were donated by Samling Group of companies to frontliners here yesterday.
The company handed over the items to Minister of Transport Datuk Lee Kim Shin who is minister-in-charge of Miri Disaster Management committee at a simple ceremony held at Wisma Samling here yesterday. On hand to witness the handover was District Officer Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof who is also chairman of the disaster management committee.
According to Lee, the masks would be distributed to government agencies namely the army, People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela), Miri Civil Defence Force (APM), personnel manning the Miri quarantine centre, Bomba and Miri City Council (MCC).
