KUCHING: The ongoing statewide sanitisation exercise carried out by State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) continued yesterday at multiple locations.

According to a Bomba report, three locations in Asajaya namely Tabika Kemas Kampung Asajaya Ulu, Taska Permata Kemas Kampung Asajaya Ulu and SK Asajaya Ulu pre-school, covering a total area of 541 square feet, were sanitised.

The sanitisation was conducted between 8.15am and 12.15pm on Wednesday by nine Bomba personnel, led by Asajaya fire and rescue station (BBP) chief Mosli Salim.

Here, Matang Vocational College, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (SJK) Chung Hua Sungai Tapang and Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) Kuching Branch, Jalan Kulas also underwent sanitisations yesterday between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

The operation was carried out by Bomba personnel of Batu Lintang, Padungan, Petra Jaya and Tabuan Jaya BBPs.

Meanwhile, in Sarikei, sanitisation work was conducted at the Customs Department office Sarikei Branch, covering a total area of 18,812 square feet, between 3.15pm and 3.50pm on Wednesday.

The work was carried out by five Bomba personnel, led by Sarikei BBP chief Mahmudin Narudin, and 15 Customs officers.

Sanitisation exercise was also done for Taska Angel Glow 1 and Taska Angel Glow 2 at Taman Siew Gin, Kapit yesterday.

The operation was conducted from 9.30am until 9.50am, covering a total area of 500 square feet, involving five Bomba personnel, led by Kapit BBP chief Erwandy Tugor.
