KUCHING: Santubong MP Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri in collaboration with Association of Importers and Traders of Motor Vehicles Malaysia (Pekema) and Centre of Technical Excellence (CENTEXS) came together to provide haircuts and school supplies to students.
Over 300 students received free haircuts during the Back To School Free Haircut programme that was held at Dewan Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi, Kampung Tabuan Lot yesterday.
“This is to ensure that they are prepared for when school starts and parents won’t need to worry about their children’s appearance.
“CENTEXS has provided six of their hairdressers to help with the initiative,” she said.
Nancy also added during her opening remarks, approximately 219 school bags were provided to students, courtesy of Pekema.
“The event was a success, with everyone working together to achieve their mission of seeing the area thrive and be peaceful.”
In a similar development, a phase one Minor Rural Project (MRP) cheque was also presented to six recipients of village development and security committees (JKKK), mosque, surau and Parent Teacher Association (PIBG) totalling RM17,000.
