KOTA SAMARAHAN: A 27-year-old man has been reported missing since last Tuesday (Nov 7) from his residence in Kampung Pangkalan Kuap.

Mohamad Fadzillah Pawe’s absence was first noted around 2.30 am on that day, and he has not returned home ever since.

The family went to look for him at the homes of friends and relatives but their efforts were fruitless.

It prompted the family to inform the authorities for search and rescue (SAR) assistance.

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Kota Samarahan station were deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call around 12 pm yesterday (Nov 12).

The search is currently divided into two sectors – a 3km radius from the SAR control post and a broader 34km radius from the same point.

Various agencies are actively involved in the operation, including Bomba’s K9 unit, Civil Defence Force (APM), and local villagers.

At the time of writing, the search is ongoing and Fadzillah is yet to be located.
