SARATOK: The district is gearing up for a special Malaysia Day celebration later this month, and one of the main attractions is the parade by the Malaysian Armed Forces Veteran Association (PVATM).
Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri, said that this event is in honour of the brave independence fighters. These heroes gave up their lives and wellbeing for Malaysia.
“There are many Malaysia Day events planned. Each aims to strengthen the love and pride we feel for our country,” Mohamad said.
“One standout event is the PVATM Saratok Branch parade, which will be joined by several other contingents.”
He said this after a meeting with the PVATM Saratok Branch members yesterday.
“Peace and progress are dreams we all share. We should look at the growth Malaysia has seen in the last 60 years. As we celebrate the 60th Malaysia Day, it’s essential we stay united and not let anything threaten our nation,” he added.
