KUCHING: Sarawak Sukma tenpin bowling head coach Jackson Ting Nik Soon wants to ensure that his squad can remain on top at the Malaysia Games (Sukma) Kuala Lumpur 2022.
“At the same time, we want to repeat the team’s biggest achievement thus far when we won 11 medals, including seven gold, in Perak in 2018,” he told Arena Suara Sarawak.
While acknowledging that this would be a challenging task, Ting was confident that with proper preparations, the mission was achievable. “What is for sure, training is currently running smoothly and according to schedule.”
Sarawak have set a target of three gold medals but the experienced coach hoped that his charges would surpass it. He added that the singles, doubles and triples events were the ones to look out for.
