KUCHING: Four widows and seven orphans from families of the Sarawak police received a generous donation from Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri.

The Commissioner’s charitable contribution was made during the Solat Sunat Aidilfitri at Masjid Al-Mujahidin in PDRM Tabuan Jaya Housing Complex on the first day of Hari Raya, today (Apr 22), which he attended with his wife.

He and his wife arrived at the mosque at about 7.40am for the prayer which later ended around 8.20am.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mohd Azman urged police officers who have returned to their hometown during the festive period to exercise caution when driving and plan their journey ahead.

“Plan your journey ahead to avoid break ins and incidents from happening and be safe throughout the long weekend,” he said.

He later distributed ten Hari Raya cakes to representatives of the district police headquarters.

Mohd Azman also took the opportunity to wish fellow police officers and members of the public Selamat Hari Raya.
